IoT Challenge: Indeema Holds a Competition for Students for the Second Time

On May 20, the Faculty of Electronics and Computer Technologies hosted the IoT Challenge IoT Project Competition for the second time with the assistance of Lviv-based IT company Indeema Software.

The goal of the IoT Challenge is to attract talented students to unleash their potential and improve their professional level in the fields of electronics, programming, and IoT technologies. The task was to propose a solution to a specific problem, identify a technology stack for its implementation, and apply their theoretical knowledge in practice. Students in different courses took their first step towards becoming experienced IoT experts. Read how the IoT competition was held for the first time.

In total, four teams of students took part in the competition and presented their projects to the judges.

The competition was won by the project of Oleksii Pushkaryk, Mykola Shevtsov, and Oleksandr Kovalchuk on a system for locating wounded soldiers on the battlefield. The idea was that when a soldier falls, a sensor is triggered, which transmits the exact coordinates of the person's location to the rescue team.

All participants received prizes from Indeema, and the winners received cash grants to support further innovative ideas.
