On October 6, a modern IoT laboratory was opened at the Department of Radiophysics and Computer Technologies of Lviv National University.
The doors of the new modern laboratory are finally open! Thanks to IT companies, Indeema Software and Vakoms managed to realize the creation of an advanced IoT laboratory on the basis of the Department of Radiophysics and Computer Technologies of Ivan Franko Lviv National University and the head of the department, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Ivan Karbovnyk, will be the scientific supervisor.
After Ukraine's victory over Russia, our country will need new talents to build the country. First of all, for the technological modernization of Ukraine and the introduction of innovations. It is the Internet of Things (IoT) technology that lies in the concept of a smart city, so it is an investment in our future.
"Education and culture are what we fight for... There will be new projects, there will be new people, there will be new successes and there will be a new country!", CEO of Indeema Software, Volodymyr Shevchyk. That's why we continue to support our youth and invest in education despite hostilities.
Most importantly, the IoT lab is equipped with new Mac computers and development boards for designing IoT solutions. Along with that, students will have an engineering workplace for assembling electronics and a 3D printer to create device case designs. The room is equipped with a bunker, so visiting the laboratory will be safe during air alarms.
The resources of the new laboratory of the Internet of Things will help students develop their own projects and go through the entire development process, from programming "iron" to creating a mobile application for interaction with this equipment and downloading the application to the Apple Store and Play Market.
The ceremonial opening of the laboratory took place with the participation of the first deputy mayor for economic development and humanitarian issues - Andrii Moskalenko, rector of the Ivan Franko Lviv National University - Melnyk Volodymyr, vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work and informatization of the Lviv National University - Vitaliy Kuharskyi, dean of the Faculty of Electronics and Computer Technologies of LNU - Yuriy Furgala and head of the Department of Radiophysics and Computer Technologies - Ivan Karbovnyk.
Volodymyr Shevchyk, co-founder and CEO of Indeema Software, was awarded an honorary award on behalf of the city mayor Andriy Sadovyi for his significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian education.
