Indeema's Role in Enhancing Psychological Services for War-Affected Ukrainian Communities

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine and the European Union (EU) have distributed a batch of tablets to school psychologists in communities within the Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava oblasts, with five communities in each region receiving tablets. Previously, 90 tablets were distributed in Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia oblasts (in Ukrainian-controlled areas).

This project aims to make psychological services, based on modern and evidence-based methods, more accessible by training specialists who work in these communities.

Indeema Software developed the software for the project. This software allows psychologists to collect, process, and transfer client data even without a stable Internet connection, which is essential in war zones.

The "Psychologist's Package" application, developed under UNDP leadership with financial support from the Government of the Netherlands in 2021, is already installed on the tablets. This app helps professionals quickly diagnose common issues such as anxiety, depression, or PTSD and plan steps for initial therapy or referral to a specialist. The Development Foundation, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, Wesleyan University (USA), the "Community Self-Help" NGO, and Indeema Software all contributed to developing this app.
