May 20, 2026, Lviv, Ukraine. Indeema, a service IT company specializing in IoT, Embedded Systems, and Edge AI, officially signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. This step marks a logical extension of the long-standing partnership between the company and the university, opening up new opportunities for training the next generation of Ukrainian engineers.
The official signing ceremony was attended by the Rector of Lviv University, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Professor Roman Gladyshevskii, and representatives of Indeema: COO Yaroslav Rybiy and CEO Volodymyr Shevchyk. The meeting was also attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Electronics and Computer Technologies Yuriy Furgala, the Head of the Department of System Design Roman Shuvar, and the Head of the Center for Cooperation with Business, Benefactors, and Alumni Iryna Kiyanka.

Joining Forces to Support Students
For Indeema, the synergy between business and academia is a key priority. With over 15 years of global market experience, the company clearly understands contemporary industry demands for engineering talent and experts in on-device artificial intelligence (Edge AI).
The cooperation focuses on updating educational programs, engaging Indeema’s industry practitioners in teaching, launching joint initiatives, and organizing large-scale tech events. A prime example of this collaboration was the recent finals of the 4th all-Ukrainian engineering contest, IoT Challenge 2026, which the company hosted jointly with the Faculty of Electronics as an open engineering exhibition.
“Our goal at Indeema is not just to support talented youth, but to build an ecosystem where students' theoretical knowledge translates into real-world technological solutions and practical experience. Deepening our cooperation with Ivan Franko National University of Lviv allows us to integrate global engineering trends directly into the educational process. We want Ukrainian graduates to build the technological future while being fully competitive in the global market from day one,” noted Volodymyr Shevchyk, CEO at Indeema.
University Rector Roman Gladyshevskii also emphasized the significance of this milestone for the academic community, stating that joining forces with a robust technology partner like Indeema helps the university respond swiftly to modern challenges, introduce innovations into learning, and jointly advance Ukraine's scientific potential.

Strategic Pillars of Future Cooperation
The signed Memorandum defines a clear vector of interaction between the parties across education, science, and innovation, focusing on the following key areas:
- Joint Developments in AIoT and AI: Implementing practical engineering projects and research in the fields of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things.
- Interdisciplinary Research: A particular focus will be placed on scientific work at the intersection of engineering, medicine, and digital technologies.
- Development of Dual and Practical Education: Establishing framework conditions for student internships and pre-graduation placements at Indeema, enabling young specialists to engage with applied engineering tasks during their studies.
- Educational Initiatives and Mentorship: Launching joint courses, workshops, and hackathons, alongside expert support for student research and thesis projects.
- Global Integration: Deepening the interaction between the university's academic community and the international IT environment to create strong career opportunities for graduates.
